Black-tailed deer wander frequently throughout our neighborhood. One of their trails passes next to our house, and I never tire seeing them. Soon the fawns will arrive.
A couple of years ago we started noticing a small covey of quail. The following year there were over 20. Soon we’ll know how many will grace us with their presence this year — plenty of (natural) food for them.
The deer and quail are welcomed visitors. The turkeys? Not so much.
I love reading blogs because you always learn something new. I just learned Oregon has wild turkeys, thank you.

Thank you! My wife, Kim, had a post (kimmccrea.com) last month which included a couple of toms in full regalia trying to wow, or more likely woo, whatever hens were out and about.
